The cylindrical houses in New Kotra village (in Barmer district, Rajasthan) are made with locally available materials. They stay cool in summers and warm in winters due to special bricks made from local clay. The architecture of a set of 65 houses here also helps people cope with extreme weather events such as floods and earthquakes…..
