About the Exhibition:

The exhibition is rooted in a comprehensive synthesis of insights derived from commissioned research under the India hub of the TESF network. This research delves deep into the multifaceted layers of education in India, exploring its relation to sustainable futures. The projects span a broad spectrum of topics, from understanding the role of education in the ongoing crisis of unsustainable development to investigating how transformative education can shape environmentally and socially just societies.

The projects have cast light on numerous challenges faced by contemporary education systems, particularly regarding issues related to urbanization, sustainable cities, environment, and climate action. Moreover, they have tackled social and gender inequity, exposing the existing structures and norms that perpetuate discrimination against marginalized groups, including Dalits, Adivasis, transgender individuals, and more.

The exhibition showcases books, reports, and multimedia project outcomes that aims to provide a compelling argument concerning the need for critical interventions in educational arrangements, curricula, and pedagogic approaches across school, higher education, and professional education. It seeks to highlight the vital role that education can play in creating a more sustainable, equitable, and just society.
