Dear Vikalp Sangam members 

This is a call to please BLOCK DATES for  JUNE 11-13, 2025 for yourself and inform any relevant groups or women’s collectives even if they are not VS members to participate in: 

Credit and Economic Alternatives Sangam @ Kanniyakumari, Tamilnadu, JUNE 11-13, 2025

Mahalir Association for Literacy Awareness and Rights (MALAR) with support of Comrade Thomas Franco are hosting a Sangam on Credit and other economic alternatives at grass roots. As access to credit is becoming scarce for people and women’s collectives,  alternatives like Mahalir Association for Literacy Awareness and Rights (MALAR) and other SHG federations, Kudumbashree Kerala,  women’s banks and many others have been practicing and flourishing women’s livelihoods, that need to be celebrated and learnt from.

Many of them will meet in Kanniyakumari along with the women members of these groups and researchers and policy analysts who support them.  We encourage you to inform such like-minded and aspirational groups to attend.

The host Malar will take care of the stay and food of the delegates and conference expenses.  Please arrange for your travel and book your tickets soonest.
