SUMMARY:Invitation to Lessons from the Forest Webinar Series
DESCRIPTION:Dear friend\, \n\n\n\nYou are warmly invited to join the webinar series Lessons from the Forest. This series offers young practitioners in forestry\, ecology\, and the natural sciences in and around Auroville a space to share their work\, research\, and passions with a wider community. \n\n\n\nThe series will be hosted online on Sundays from 5–7 pm (IST) on March 1\, March 8\, March 15\, and March 22. It will feature presentations on a range of topics; from fungi and carbon sequestration to seed systems and language – all grounded in our forests and what we have learned from them. \n\n\n\nWe organised this series to create a space for young naturalists in the region to share their research and hands-on work that often goes unseen beyond small circles. We hope this series will foster connections among peers while inviting the wider community to learn about and engage with their work. In light of the threats facing these forests\, this series seeks to honour the natural environments that have been disrupted and to reflect on how ongoing ecological destruction is impacting these naturalist’s work. \n\n\n\nThe series will be facilitated by Isa and Milla\, both of whom grew up in Auroville. Milla studies fungi in the Auroville forests\, and Isa\, who currently lives in the Netherlands\, works in the field of transformative education. Further details about the presenters and their topics\, along with the Zoom link\, will be shared ahead of our first session on Sunday\, March 1. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to attend\, please register your name and email via this Google Form. You will receive the Zoom link and further details via the email you provided.  \n\n\n\nTo support a safe and open space for discussion in the current climate\, this invitation is being shared with trusted contacts only via a Google Form for registration. If you would like to extend this invite within your network\, please ask them to include your name as a reference in the Google Form.  \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there\, Isa and Milla
