The WILDFLOWER CAMP 2023 With Vimukt Shiksha & Seeds and Deeds

“Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? 

Join us at WildFlower – a 7-day residential camp designed just for you! 

Through these 7 days explore your interests and passions through live projects like film-making, music, organic farming, cooking, art and crafts, exploring biodiversity, trekking, poetry, journaling, cycling, and much more. You’ll even have the chance to interact with the local community through community service projects. Spend most of your time in the picturesque rural village of Bir, located in the foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges of Himachal Pradesh, with Vimukt Shiksha & Seeds and Deeds’ ecosystem of partners and activities. 

And the best part? No exams, textbooks, competition, or boring classrooms, an opportunity for you to explore un-schoolers’ way of living!

This program is all about co-creation and emergent learning, with experienced mentors and facilitators to guide you on your journey. So pack your bags, grab your friends/cousins, and join us for the most fun and exciting time of your life! 

Schedule:
We begin on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, 11:00 am and close on Monday, June 12th, 2023, 4:30 pm.
The camp will be mainly facilitated in Hindi/English.

Contribution:
We believe that everyone has something to offer and that we all have the ability to teach and learn from one another. That’s why our camp is organized in the spirit of gift culture! We don’t believe in fixed prices – instead, we invite you to contribute what feels right from your heart. Our suggested contribution is a sliding scale of ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per person, which includes food, accommodation, and facilitation during the program. And if you’re feeling generous, we’d be so grateful if you could donate more to help sponsor others’ participation. We want to make sure that lack of money doesn’t stop anyone from attending or participating fully in our program. About Facilitators:

Jeewika Bhat 

Jeewika has been on a journey of exploring the outer world through the inner world of self. She is a passionate student of ecology and has been working on creating a low waste, regenerative life that is as close to nature as possible.

Her primary sources of learning have been travel, experiences and immersions with grassroot communities. She believes that the best way to learn is to get hands-on experience and connect with people at a grassroots level. She finds contentment in creating such experiential and self-reflective spaces for others to support them find their own path to a more fulfilling life. 

For the past 5 years, Jeewika has been residing in Upper Bir, Himachal Pradesh, where she has been honing her skills in natural farming and exploring the philosophy of permaculture. She is on a mission of cultivating ecological intelligence in young people and working on re-connecting to the grandmothers’ wisdom through her venture called Seeds and Deeds. 

Jeewika’s commitment to eco-conscious living is a reflection of her deep love and respect for mother earth. She believes that by embracing regenerative practices, we can create a world that is more in harmony with nature, and in turn, experience a more fulfilling life.

Harsh Wardhan 

Harsh Wardhan is a multifaceted individual with a passion for exploring different fields and a core interest in education. His journey began as a Khoji at Swaraj university. Harsh has been actively involved in filmmaking, photography, event management, clowning, interplay, contact improvisation, and self-understanding. He also loves to travel to explore rural and folk cultures and has worked with projects like THE PARI project in Rajasthan and Abhivyakti Media for Development in Maharashtra, to explore community media, specifically community films. Harsh has also served as a Steering Committee member in the Indian Multiversities Alliance and the Grant Administrative Team in the Ecoversities Alliance.

Harsh has been working with Shikshantar Andolan, Udaipur, as he believes that the modern education system is destroying the culture. He dreams of a society free of conditioning and based on love, trust, and compassion, firmly believing in the power of community, collective intelligence, and the magic of chaos.

Harsh is a core member of the deschooling movement in and around the world. He has been organizing Learning Societies unConference since 2016. He works in various networks like the Indian Multiversities Alliance, Ecoversities Alliance, AhimsaGram, Swapathgami Walkouts Network, and is also the coordinator of Swaraj University. He founded Vimukt Shiksha as an organization to explore different possibilities and embrace his passion for traveling and free learning. This was an outcome of  a learning journey “Vimukt Shiksha Yatra,” that he started along with Shikshantar and Indian Multiversity Alliance, to explore learning spaces, individuals, projects, and programs that are working on re-imagining education.

Vimukt Shiksha is an organization that aims to facilitate learning journeys, courses, programs, and events that bridge the gap between individuals and projects working towards reimagining and reclaiming learning in various fields.
