Dear Vikalp Community

Greetings and hope you are gently sailing with life and its shades.
After a long pause due to pandemic, we are organising the Eco Jam in-person again in January 2022 at Fireflies Ashram from 30th Jan to 5th February.  Requesting you to share with anyone who might be interested to join!

We feel more and more spaces where changemakers passionate about ecological crises can come together, to learn, rejuvenate, collaborate and set intentions is very much needed.

Apply now! The priority deadline was 30th November and the final deadline is 20th December.  Do share it with your friends, colleagues too.

Also read what Bilal, our alum from EcoJam 2019 shares:”Year 2019, I was sitting in my room all depressed and directionless. We ran more than 80 political crowdfunding campaigns on OurDemocracy and ALL of them lost. Kashmir 370 had just happened. I had zero inspiration to do anything. This is when Sweta Daga invited me to attend their EcoJam, a week-long retreat in the beautiful hills of Pune. I was exhausted with electoral politics and I definitely needed an intellectual break. The idea of the retreat was to figure out tools and ideas – both internal and external – that can respond to the environmental challenges of our times. For 7 days, a group of 20+ participants from all parts of India were hanging out together at a beautiful location, surrounded by rivers and streams. We brainstormed specific scenarios, we built solutions and models. We laughed a lot. We also held hands and cried a lot. We danced, we ate, and we generally just smiled at each other. It was magical.India doesn’t have a massive retreat culture, but for me this was definitely a healing space. I still believe some of the most inspired work I have done as an activist came between December 2019 to May 2020 and I think the retreat was the starting point. So if you work in the space of social change or environment and if you are looking for a community that you can call your own, I would strongly recommend you apply for the EcoJam 2022.”
